"Welcome Kris to the stage! Play with it, surprise your loved ones or business partners with this new typeface. Use it for billboards, record covers, logos, book titles and anything else that needs attention. With Kris, you will impress everyone that sees it. And they will never forget you too.
Kris has a powerful character based on the humanistic minuscule with a touch of a uncial script. An alphabet with an unusual appearance. Written by hand with a pen and black ink from an ordinary Quink jar. The somewhat fanciful shapes arise because of the wide blade so I randomly lifted. Sometimes left and then right again. Therefore frayed edges arose that I could not predict. And that made it very exciting. I made the thin right turning lines, as in the letter O, by spinning the pen around on the left point. For the thin left turning line, as in the letter P, I used the right point. Sometimes, as with the letter Q, I used the middle part of the pen and watched in amazement to see what came out. The initials sign was my favorite and I was thrilled with my "monkey tail". You might be inspired to start writing with Kris. I was!
I threw all the letters in a large silk hat and René Verkaart magically made a typeface for you to use. Enjoy!"
