HOT NEWS - Jotun uses Nordic Narrow for Jotaproff packaging.
The “Jotaproff”-paint is for professionals. A waterborne solvent-free paint for indoor use. Pia Indrebø, designer from Metro Branding AS (Norway), sent me some 3d modelling images from the new Jotaproff packagin they designed for Jotun.
HOT NEWS - Carol Gunn of Gunn Graphix, Austin TX, made this logo with Accelerator. LaserCut is a product from E.A.R, Inc, a manufacturer of custom hearing protection.

CUSTOM TYPE - Ballet Mechanique, the music-outlet of Jeroen Borrenbergs (36), is live. After a few years of silence the Dutch graphic designer is getting ready to release new tracks. His website is a state of the art peace of artwork, superbly programmed by ComaKid.
For his upcoming promotion Jeroen asked me to create a special font for him. As a co-founder and graphic designer at Stoere Binken Design he creates his own artwork and therefor had some specific wishes. The font should have ’soul’. He gave me some sketches for his logo that I should use as a starting point. The result is a very narrow, round and warm, kinda techno, monocased font called Ballet Mechanique (what else).

CUSTOM TYPE - Plan A Ontwerp is a graphic design studio based in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.
Frank Vogt, owner and graphic designer, wanted to redesign the studio’s corporate identity. He made some sketches for the logo and asked me to fill in the gaps and make a complete font out of it.
TRENDSETTING - Leeward Productions in Witchita uses Accelerator for their custom license plates. They offer 6 different options. Their customers include churches, schools, and businesses across the United States who use their auto tags to identify and advertise their organizations. They also sell reflective auto tags for EMS, firefighters, and law enforcement units who require visibility on the scene of emergencies at night.

CHARACTERS IN USE - The famous Dutch design studio Faydherbe / de Vringer uses Insider Stencil as the main font for their corporate identity. The fresh fluorescent colours and their design make it a very contemporary corporate identity.
FRESH FONT - Boris Kahl from Volcano Type asked me if I would like to submit a font for their new Bastard book.
The idea behind Bastard was to bring together photographers, writers, illustrators, graphic designers, musicians and typographers to create a solid and unique book that also functions as a work of art. Bastard is all about cultural identity and the development of new things by sampling, mixing and crossing.
Beside pictures from the photographer Christian Ernst and illustrations from Andre Rösler, the new fonts will be presented. Writers all around the world contributed short stories to complete the book.
CHARACTERS IN USE - One of the early pioneers working with Nordic Narrow is Magnus Holder Bjørk at Magnusland. He used Nordic Narrow as the leading font for the Signaler Exposition in Norway.
Through an early presale he had the change to be one of the first designers to work with it. And I must say, he did a fantastic job. Here are some of the images Magnus sent me of Nordic Narrow in use.
