Here are some answers to type questions I’ve been asked over the years.
Q: Why did you start designing fonts?
A: I always wanted to be a superhero when I was a kid. I needed a cool font for my superhero suit, so I started designing type. Over the time this became a passion that I haven’t been able to shake off.
Q: Did you study to learn how to make fonts?
A: Nope. I just go with my gut feeling and hope for the best. You’d be surprised what you can do when you put your mind to it.
Q: Do you have a printed catalogue?
A: I spend a lot of time making the fonts, so I didn’t get to a printed catalogue yet. If you want you can download Sample PDF’s from the website. Every font has one. You find the link on the left side under the black box.
Q: Why do some BUY buttons not work?
A: These fonts are currently being finished. The link is already there because I plan on selling all my fonts. Please be patient with me.

Q: Where do you work, or do you just make really nice fonts?
A: I’m a co-founder of Stoere Binken Design and my daytime job is as a graphic designer. My fonts belong to the nocturnal side of me. I only get to play with them in the weekend or late at night.
Q: Can you keep me up to date on your fonts?
A: Sure! Send me an email and I’ll inform you when something happens. Or you could keep an eye on my RSS feed. I’ll keep you informed on all new releases on this font blog.

Q: What’s up with your name Characters Font Foundry?
A: I consider all my fonts to be ‘characters’ for itself. So the name Characters Font Foundry made more than sence to me, don’t you?
Q: Are you married?
A: Yes, I am. You’re too late.
Q: Do you have other hobbies than type design?
A: Ofcourse, don’t you think I have a private life? I do kungfu, so you better watch out.
